On 2nd and 3rd February, OYOHO’s partner, Iceberg, led fun day activities surrounding personal development in both Dar al Shabab Ibn Khaldoun and Dar al Shabab Harariya. The event was an interactive seminar on communication skills and public speaking, geared towards improving youth soft skills in this area. The ‘forUs’ participants engaged in role-play, scenarios, and group work to build the foundational skills needed for multicultural workplace communication, presentation, and communication/public speaking. The attendees created their own safe space during the interactive workshops to test and strengthen their soft skills.
Iceberg, our communication and coaching experts partner, held a second session of workshops on 16th and 17th February in both Dar al Shabab Ibn Khaldoun and Dar al Shabab Harariya focusing on Job Interview skills. The Employability trainees benefited from a one-on-one simulated real-life job interview experience adapted to the career tracks that the participants had chosen. The workshops have offered answers to several questions every job hunter has, such as 'what should I focus on when I am asked to to introduce myself and how long should my response take time, and more'.
